Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- 3x12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday, if needed
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- NIHSS
- Ventilator management
- Experience with Epic
Required Experience / Skills
- Emergency department experience with adult patients
- IV therapy, including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and IV vasopressors
- CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
- Care of CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI patients
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Triage and isolation precautions
- Experience with adult/pediatric ED emergencies, gunshot wounds, and ortho trauma
- Pediatric spinal cord injury care
Work Setting / Assignment Details
- Adult emergency department
- Floating required within skill set
- Accepts first-time travelers
- Candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
Additional Notes
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Background check required
- Health screening and immunization/compliance requirements apply before start
- Scrub color: navy blue and white
