Location
- Bridgeport, West Virginia
Assignment Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, nights
- Every other weekend
- Holiday rotation with permanent staff
Unit Details
- Telemetry/MedSurg float assignment
- May float between multiple telemetry units and to MedSurg/Tele units
- Most frequent units: 6N and 7N
- Patient population includes cardiac, post-cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, ortho, and oncology patients
- RN may float to Critical Care only if they have that experience
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- Ability to titrate drips
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Clinical Expectations
- Basic telemetry patients
- Occasional titrated cardiac drips
- No sheath pulls
- No arterial lines
Work Environment
- Charge nurse available 24/7
- RN uses Phillips monitors
- RT manages CPAP and BiPAP
Dress Code
- Royal blue scrubs
- No false nails
