Description

Infusion RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract RN role in Saint Louis, Missouri
  • 13-week contract
  • Day shift, 3x12 hours
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Start date is approximately 3–4 weeks out, depending on compliance

Setting

  • Consult-based vascular access service
  • Serves both inpatient and outpatient areas
  • Short-term acute care, teaching, Level I trauma facility

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Oncology experience with 2 years of experience
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Ultrasound guided IV training
  • PICC training
  • 2 years experience in ultrasound guided vascular access placement
  • Difficult IV placement
  • Cannulating/decannulating implanted ports
  • Midline placement
  • Ultrasound guided PIV placement
  • Troubleshooting concerning vascular access issues
  • Infusion experience
  • Vascular Access experience

Schedule Requirements

  • 2 weekends per 6-week schedule period, typically every 3rd weekend as needed

Additional Notes

  • Pending license accepted
  • Local candidates are not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
  • No on-call requirement
  • No floating within scope to meet facility needs
  • Up to 2 RTO requests allowed

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
