Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Sault St. Marie, Michigan
Schedule: Days

Overview
This role performs nuclear medicine procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Responsibilities include administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating nuclear medicine equipment, performing quality control, supporting patient positioning and monitoring during procedures, and starting IV access.
Required Qualifications
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB
Key Clinical Knowledge
- Nuclear medicine instrumentation, including gamma cameras, SPECT, PET, radiation detectors/counters, dose calibrators, and equipment quality control
- Radiation safety practices, ALARA principles, dosimetry, and NRC guidelines for handling, administering, and transporting radioactive materials
- Radiopharmacy preparation, measurement, quality control, and safe administration of radiopharmaceuticals
- Nuclear medicine protocols and procedures, including patient positioning, acquisition parameters, and patient monitoring
- IV access starting skills, including site selection and aseptic technique
