ICU RN Contract Job

Location

  • Moses Lake, Washington

Employment Type

  • Contract
  • Day shift
  • 36 hours per week

Role Summary

  • Registered Nurse responsible for both direct patient care and care management.
  • May function as a Charge Nurse when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Washington
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

  • Acute care registered nurse experience preferred
  • RN-C preferred

Unit-Specific Requirements

  • ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • PALS within 12 months of hire
  • TNCC within 12 months of hire
  • PEARS within 12 months of hire
  • Moderate sedation training within 12 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and collect data across physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive domains
  • Implement care according to procedures, policies, and care plans
  • Provide patient teaching based on learning needs and readiness
  • Document care in electronic medical records and/or paper processes
  • Delegate and supervise patient care activities
  • Use critical thinking for organization, prioritization, and decision-making
  • Maintain safety, infection control, and other required workplace practices

Additional Notes

  • Continuing education and training are required for the total joint program
  • Up to two shifts may be canceled per month, or up to six shifts within any 13-week assignment

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
