Step Down Nurse
Overview
- Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start timing: 3–4 weeks out, depending on compliance tier
- Patient ratio: 1:3–4
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
- Local candidates: Not accepted within 75 miles
- Pending license: Accepted
- Time off restriction: No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Stepdown (2 years of experience)
- Stepdown experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Vascular Surgery experience
Unit / Role Details
- Step-down unit
- Pre- and post-operative vascular surgical services, including:
- Abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysm repair
- Carotid endarterectomies and stents
- Peripheral vascular interventions of lower extremities
- Hemodialysis AV fistulas and grafts
- Thoracic outlet decompression
- Lower extremity amputations
- Lysis of DVTs

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful.
