Location
- Albany, Georgia
Contract Length
- 17 weeks
Shift
- Days, 12-hour shifts
- 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Unit Details
- Progressive care / cardiac stepdown
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- Every other weekend
- Must be flexible to work holidays and days around holidays
- Floating may be required to ICU; if unable to take ICU-level patients, the nurse may be assigned tasks in ICU instead
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license
- ACLS
- BLS
- 2 years of stepdown experience in an acute care setting
Preferred Qualifications
- NIHSS
- Ability to read and interpret strips
- Ability to pull pacer wires
Clinical Setting
- Cardiac stepdown with cardiovascular and cardiothoracic patients
- Common patient types include post-op CABG, CHF, atrial fibrillation with RVR, pacemakers, ablations, AICD, chest tubes, and various cardiovascular surgeries/procedures
Additional Notes
- Meditech is used for charting
- Telemetry monitoring is used
- Natural hair color required
- No fake nails or shellac
- No facial piercings
- No visible tattoos
- Must live at least 75 miles from the facility based on the address on the driver’s license
