Job Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Riverview, Florida
• Start date: 8/17
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Day shift, 4x10 hours
• Hours per week: 40
• On-call required: 1 week on, 3 weeks off
• May float within scope to IR
• First-time travelers accepted only if experienced in Cath Lab
• Locals accepted within 75–100 miles
• No RTO allowed in the contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Cardiac Cath Lab (2 years of experience)
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Conscious Sedation skills
• Interventional Radiology experience
• Experience with Cerner

Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements

• Background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Education verification
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 10 weeks of start
• TB questionnaire
• Drug test within 30 days
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation
• Flu vaccination or declination, with exemptions accepted
• Respiratory safety clearance if the clinician will use a respirator
• References: 2 within the past 2 years
• Employment application
• Skills checklist
• Photo for badge
• Dress code and tobacco policy acknowledgment
• Fit mask acknowledgment
• Account registration and modules completion before start
• Color blind testing
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam for RN candidates going to Cath Lab
• Stroke education requirements, including NIH Stroke Certification and mRS, as applicable to the unit
• Facility-required documents related to AHCA privacy, affidavit, and demographic information
• Florida AHCA fingerprint results
