OT Home Health

Overview

Schedule and work expectations

  • The facility cannot accommodate 4x10s or 3x12s.
  • Weekend work is not required.
  • On-call is not required.
  • Block scheduling is not available.
  • First-time travelers are accepted.
  • Local candidates are accepted.
  • The traveler is expected to have their own transportation.
  • The role may involve visiting up to 6 patients per day.

Required qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oregon
  • Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Experience in a Home Health setting
  • Experience with OASIS

  • National Patient Safety Goals / Core Measures
  • Billing
  • Home Health
  • OASIS documentation
  • Acute disorder activities of daily living experience
  • Chronic disorder activities of daily living experience
  • Functional activities experience

Patient population

  • Dementia
  • Parkinson’s disease

  • Ortho post-op

Work environment

  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • Occasional travel radius of roughly 60 miles per day
  • Business casual attire; scrubs are allowed but not required

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
