Schedule
- Day shift
- 32 hours per week
- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Rotating weekend on-call coverage may be required
Assignment Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- CVOR experience within the last year
- 1 year of CVOR experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- OR nursing experience
- 2 years of pediatric cardiovascular nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- MSN
- Experience working with all levels within an organization
- Experience in healthcare
- Epic EMR experience
- CNOR
- TNCC
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- 7-year criminal background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprinting
- Education verification or diploma/transcript
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- State license primary source verification
- NURSYS verification
- Computer security agreement
- HIPAA/confidentiality statement
- HIPAA privacy training
- Non-employee personal information form within 72 hours of signed contract
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Tdap within 10 years of start
- TB screening
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- Unit-specific skills checklist
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-procedure assessment for outpatients scheduled in the Cath Lab
- Scrub and circulate in the cardiac OR and Cath Lab
- Take shared call with other department nurse clinicians
- Assist in other clinical areas within the Heart Center
- Support research, database maintenance, teaching, program development, and administrative functions
