Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse
Overview
- Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract

- Setting: Pediatric float pool covering multiple units, including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby
- Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Scheduling note: Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric PACU experience
- Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience
Assignment Notes
- Clinical review and auto offer
- Must adhere to float policy
- Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved
- No time off can be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Infant-Driven Feeding certification may be submitted pending, but it has a cost of $185
