• Travel RN position
• Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown
• Night shift, 19:00-07:30
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week
• 16-week assignment
• 1 opening
• Auto-offer position
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Cardiac Stepdown (1 year of experience)
• Cardiac Stepdown experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
• Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS certification

Unit Information

• 32 beds
• Typical patient ratio: 1:3-1:4
• Equipment includes chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, and BiPAPs
• Patient population includes post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomies, respiratory failure, and chest pain

Work Environment

• Team-oriented role with emphasis on positive culture
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift, and the traveler must be available for the full orientation week
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the shift, frequent bending and stooping, and lifting/turning patients with assistance
• High exposure risk to blood and body fluids
• May require pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs, and pinching up to 15 lbs

Dress Code

• All black scrubs with Mercy logo on top
• No hoodies, jackets without the Mercy logo, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, earbuds, or fake nails
