NICU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Focus

  • NICU and couplet care experience required
  • Pediatric experience is a plus

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Compliance and Onboarding Requirements

  • Background check covering the past 7 years, including all locations lived/worked, all aliases, and required searches
  • Education verification of highest level earned
  • State-specific Missouri search requirement
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • National tech certification verification
  • NURSYS verification
  • Pass/fail testing administered onsite
  • Color blindness testing
  • Competency exam and medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Clear passport-style photo for badge
  • Influenza verification form and any applicable exemption form
  • E-learning completion and transcript submission
  • Physical exam
  • Mask fit test
  • TB screening documentation
  • Immunization/documentation requirements for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap, and seasonal flu

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
