Operating Room Nurse

Job Overview

  • Specialty: Operating Room RN

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Call required: 7 days per month, including one weekend per month

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Alabama
  • OR - Operating Room (4 years of experience)
  • OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Endoscopy experience

Preferred Experience

  • Endoscopy
  • Orthopedic
  • General
  • ENT
  • GYN

Role Summary

  • Provides operating room patient care as part of the surgical team
  • Assists with surgical cases, including scrubbing and assisting physicians
  • Supports case readiness, family communication, preference card updates, and supervision of personnel delivering patient care

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
