Medical Surgical RN
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Saint Louis, Missouri
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week contract
- Patient ratio: 1:4–6
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope may be required
- No block scheduling
- No local candidates; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
- Start date is approximately 3–4 weeks after compliance clearance
- Guaranteed hours
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Neurosurgery experience
Unit Notes
- Medical-surgical neuroscience unit caring for pre- and post-operative cranial and spinal surgery patients
- Also receives general neurology and stroke patients as secondary priority
- Commonly manages intermittently drained lumbar and surgical drains
- Does not take titratable drips except heparin
- Does not take trachs/total laryngectomy, EVDs, fresh TPA administration, or arterial lines
