Registered Nurse — Emergency Department
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Saratoga Springs, New York
- Day shift, 3x12 hours
- Guaranteed 32 hours per week
- Typical schedule alternates between 32 and 36 hours per week
- Must be willing to float if needed based on manager discretion and skillset
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- ED - Emergency Department (5 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Adult or Pediatric patients
- Telemetry experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS
- Triage experience
- Level 1 trauma experience
Scheduling and Assignment Notes
- Start times may vary between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM
- Minimal requested time off: 7 days or less
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
Compliance and Onboarding
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Drug screen required within 60 days of start
- Two professional references within 2 years of start
- Child abuse mandatory reporter training may be required based on education history and must be completed through New York State-approved providers
- Passport-style photo required before start
- FCRA authorization release must be signed before start
- ECG study guide must be reviewed before start
- HealthStream modules must be completed before the deadline provided
- N95 OSHA questionnaire and fit testing required
- Lift assessment required
- Additional health documentation required for immunity and vaccination status, including measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
