Outpatient Clinic RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Location: Edmonds, Washington
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday–Wednesday, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
- Hours: 30 per week
- Start: ASAP
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Local candidates: Accepted
- Floating: As needed within skillset
- Weekend / on-call: Not required
Role Summary
This outpatient primary care and OB/GYN clinic role involves phone triage and in-clinic nursing care, including injections, patient teaching, blood pressure checks, wound care, suture removal, newborn checks, and triage for pediatric, OB, and adult patients.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Clinic experience within the last year
- 1 year of clinic experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Triage experience
- Labor and Delivery experience
- Experience with Epic
Required Skills
- Telephone triage
- Vital signs
- Pain assessment
- Height/weight measurement
- Interpretation of laboratory results
- Patient history, allergies, and health questionnaire review
- Pulse oximetry
- Hypertension assessment
- External fetal heart monitoring
- Intradermal, intramuscular, intravenous infusion, and subcutaneous medication administration
Preferred Skills
- Strong patient education skills, especially around lifestyle and medication adherence
- Quality improvement initiatives
Work Environment
- Outpatient birth and family clinic
- Any color scrubs
