Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Birth & Family Clinic position requiring outpatient clinic and Labor & Delivery triage experience.
Details
- Work in an outpatient Primary Care and OBGYN clinic setting with 16 providers
- Perform phone triage and in-clinic appointments including injections, teaching, blood pressure checks, wound care, suture removal, and newborn checks
- Triage pediatric, OB, and adult patient populations
- Day shift schedule of 3x10 hour shifts, Monday-Wednesday, 0730-1800
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required as needed within skillset
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active WA or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- AWHONN FHM certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Outpatient clinic experience required
- Labor & Delivery experience required
- Telephone triage experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skills required include vital sign assessment, pain assessment, pulse oximetry, and interpretation of lab results
- Medication administration skills required including intradermal, intramuscular, IV infusion, and subcutaneous routes
- Use of External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) required
Additional Information
- Position covers a caregiver currently on leave with no definitive return date
- Responsibilities include patient education focused on lifestyle and medication adherence
- Involvement in quality improvement initiatives is preferred
- Any color scrubs are acceptable
- Accepts local, non-local, and true traveler candidates
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
