Job Summary

Hospital-based Med Surg/Telemetry nursing role with telemetry monitoring responsibilities.
Patient population includes telemetry, post-op surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients.
Unit has 16 beds with a 5:1 ratio.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
Experience in an inpatient setting
Orthopedics experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Driver's License
Drip experience with Insulin
Drip experience with Cardizem
Drip experience with Heparin
Drip experience with Amiodarone
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Telemetry experience
EPIC charting experience

Clinical Skills / Experience

Ability to read and measure telemetry strips
Experience with insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone drips

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
Radius rule applies: minimum 50 miles, no locals

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
