SLP Pediatrics
Job Overview
- Location: Monroe, Michigan
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Flexible day shift; either 4x10s or 5x8s
- Weekend requirement: No weekends
- Patient volume: 9 visits per day
- Patient age groups: Infants, pediatrics, adolescents
- Work setting: Pediatric outpatient
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist license in Michigan
- Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (1 year of experience)
- Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting
Clinical Focus
- Pediatric cases include autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders
- Required patient safety knowledge includes signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
- Patient/family education is required
- Documentation includes assessment, discharge, evaluation, Medicaid, plan of care, reassessments, and SLP evaluation coding
Support and Tools
- Documentation system: Wellsky/Epic
- Support available: Interpretation services, physical therapy, unit secretary

- Black scrubs required
