ICU Registered Nurse

Overview

Location: Belleville, New Jersey
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit: Adult and geriatric ICU

Key Job Details

ICU patient ratios are 1:1–3 based on acuity.
When floating to Medical Surgical/Telemetry or similar units, ratios may be 1:4–6.
The traveler may float within scope to PCU, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units.
Every other weekend is required.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Locals are accepted.
Block scheduling is not available.
Auto offer position.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Jersey
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Notes

Requested time off and scheduling requests must be included at submission.
Navy blue scrubs are required.

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
