Description
Labor and Delivery RN
Location
Charlotte, North Carolina
Contract
- 13–26 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- Day shift, 3x12 hours: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
Unit Overview
- Fast-paced, high-acuity labor and delivery unit
- High-volume setting with more than 300 births per month
- Double labor assignments are a daily occurrence
- May be asked to precept or orient new staff
- Float as needed
- Every other weekend required, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN Intermediate)
- Ability to circulate in obstetrical procedures
- Competency in sterile vaginal examination
- Competency in immediate newborn care
Additional Notes
- RTO after booking is not allowed
- Scrubs provided
- Unit orientation: 24 hours
