Labor and Delivery Nurse
Overview
- Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- Hours: 36 per week
- Contract length: 18 weeks
- First-time travelers: Accepted
Key Job Details
- Unit: Labor and Delivery
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- Floating: May float to antepartum and postpartum
- On-call: Required
- Weekend expectations: No specific weekend requirement, but weekend days off are not guaranteed
- Holiday requirement: Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles
- Block scheduling: Not guaranteed
- RTO restriction: Requests over 7 days need approval
- Local candidates: Not accepted within 100 miles
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Circulate and fetal heart monitoring (FHM) skills
- Antepartum experience
- Post Partum experience
Additional Requirements
- Valid non-local driver’s license
- Social Security card
- Two professional references within 3 years of hire
- Complete application with at least 3 years of work history
- Skills checklist
- Work history verification for 3 years of previous work experience
- Background check
- Education verification
- Fingerprinting
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Fit mask clearance within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
- Hepatitis B documentation
- Negative drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or approved declination/documentation
- COVID vaccine series or declination upload

- Cerner familiarity may be used to test out of training
