Job Overview

• Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
• Employment type: Travel/Contract

• Floating: May float within scope to an adult respiratory therapy unit as needed
• Weekend requirement: Weekends required as needed by the unit
• Holiday requirement: Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in New Mexico
• Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Endotracheal tube/suctioning
• Extubation
• Nasal airway placement/suctioning
• Oral airway placement
• Tracheostomy suctioning
• Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience

• NICU respiratory care
• Pediatric critical care
• Endotracheal tube suctioning and extubation
• Nasal and oral airway placement/suctioning
• Oropharyngeal suctioning
• Sputum specimen collection
• Tracheostomy suctioning
• Pulmonary toileting
• ABG interpretation

Additional Notes

• No locals within 100 miles
• Pending license accepted
• Greater than 7 days of requested time off requires approval
• New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
• A 6-month break is required after 4 consecutive assignments or after reaching 1 year, whichever comes first
• Overtime applies after 48 hours
• Cerner familiarity may be tested out of during orientation if applicable
