Operating Room RN
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Outpatient Operating Room RN
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- First-time travelers accepted
- No floating outside scope
- On-call required
- Weekend requirement: 1 weekend per month
- Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles
- No locals within 100 miles
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Operating Room experience within the last year
- Circulate experience in the Operating Room
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- CNOR
- Cataract experience
Schedule and Call
- Weekday call runs overnight once per week
- Weekend call runs from Saturday morning to Monday morning once per month
- Call is for eye trauma cases only
Compliance and Onboarding
- Greater than 7 days of requested time off requires approval
- New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask clearance within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu documentation required before start and annually
- COVID vaccination is not required, but vaccine status or declination must be uploaded
- Two professional references within 3 years of hire
- Complete application with at least 3 years of work history
- Skills checklist required
- Work history verification required
- Background check required
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation
- Education verification required
- Driver’s license or state ID required
- Social Security card required
Additional Notes
- Cerner familiarity may be used for optional test-out of training
- Scrubs are provided
