Cath Lab Tech

Location

  • Brownwood, Texas

Job Type

  • Travel/Contract

Schedule

  • Day shift, 5x8 hours
  • 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Hours may vary slightly based on patient scheduling
  • Call required: 12–15 days per month

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Start Timing

  • Start date within the next 3–5 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
  • Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • ARRT or RCIS
  • Experience with left and right heart catheterization procedures
  • Experience with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
  • Experience with peripheral procedures
  • Experience with device placement
  • Experience with renal cases

Preferred

  • Travel experience strongly preferred

Required Documents and Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • E-Verify or attestation
  • Background check
  • 7-year background check within 1 year of start, then updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
  • Education verification for highest level completed
  • Texas DADS employability status check within 30 days of start
  • Texas employee misconduct registry check within 30 days of start
  • References: 2 within 3 years of start
  • Resume/application copy
  • Skills checklist, updated annually

Required Health and Screening Items

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit test, updated annually
  • Negative TB or chest X-ray
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, and drug testing documentation
  • Tdap within 10 years of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or exemption for the 2025–26 season

Additional Onboarding Items

  • Orientation modules required
  • Several facility acknowledgements and forms must be completed or reviewed before start

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
