Required Qualifications

Active BLS certification
Active ACLS certification
Must pass a cardiac rhythm exam
Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
Must submit an unexpired driver’s license
Must live within 50 miles of the assignment location

Schedule Requirements

Every-other-weekend coverage
Holiday rotation with permanent staff

Unit Details

Float pool assignment across multiple units
Most frequent float units: 6N, 7N
Other possible float units: 4N, 5S, 6S, and Critical Care
Typical patient ratio is 1:5-6
Charge nurse is present on every unit
CNAs are used on all units
CPAP and BiPAP are managed by respiratory therapy
Most units have monitor techs

Orientation

1-2 shifts with a preceptor

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
