Description

Medical Surgical Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract RN position in Creve Coeur, Missouri
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Contract length: 20 weeks
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
First-time travelers accepted
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
On-call required
Floating required within scope to the med-surg unit
Local candidates are not accepted; local radius rule is 75 miles
RTO restriction: 7 days

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Missouri
2 years of Med Surg experience
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Orthopedic or plastics post-surgical skills
Experience with Epic
Unit-specific competency exam required
Unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start
Two professional references required
Employment application required

Clinical Focus

Short-stay orthopedic, urology, and plastics surgery patients
Orthopedic population is mostly joint replacement patients
Ortho or plastics post-surgical skills are required; either one is acceptable

Navy scrubs required

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
