NICU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Charlottesville, Virginia
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift, 4x12s
- 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Virginia RN license
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- 1 year of NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Infant-Driven Feeding
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Additional Required Certification
- Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding certification is required; may be submitted pending, with a stated cost of $200
Schedule Notes
- 3 weekends required during each 6-week scheduling period
- Every other holiday required
- No time off approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved
- Time off is not approved for Labor Day weekend
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID
- 2 clinical references
- Complete application/resume
- Skills checklist, if applicable to the unit
- Background check and education verification
- Drug screen within 2 months of start
- Flu vaccination/documentation required for the 2025–26 season
- TB screening and other standard pre-start health documentation
- Fit testing acknowledgement for patient-facing clinical roles
- Professional appearance guidelines, release authorization, traveler compliance, and screening forms must be completed before start
