NICU Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Charlottesville, Virginia
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift, 4x12s
• 48 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Virginia RN license
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
• 1 year of NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• Infant-Driven Feeding
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Additional Required Certification

• Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding certification is required; may be submitted pending, with a stated cost of $200

Schedule Notes

• 3 weekends required during each 6-week scheduling period
• Every other holiday required
• No time off approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved
• Time off is not approved for Labor Day weekend

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• 2 clinical references
• Complete application/resume
• Skills checklist, if applicable to the unit
• Background check and education verification
• Drug screen within 2 months of start
• Flu vaccination/documentation required for the 2025–26 season
• TB screening and other standard pre-start health documentation
• Fit testing acknowledgement for patient-facing clinical roles
• Professional appearance guidelines, release authorization, traveler compliance, and screening forms must be completed before start
