Description
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Overview
- Travel/contract role in New London, Connecticut
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- May be scheduled in the psychiatric area and floated to the main emergency department as needed
- Short-term acute care, Level III trauma center
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for psychiatric emergency department patients
- Cross-trained to work both psychiatric ED and main ED nursing assignments
- Care for medical and psychiatric patients of all ages
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Psych ED experience
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- TNCC
- CPI
- NIHSS
- Experience with Epic
