LTAC Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Location: Kansas City, Missouri
  • Employment type: Travel
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Contract length: 8 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Long Term Acute Care (1 year of experience)
  • Long Term Acute Care experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Ventilator/tracheostomy experience

Role Summary

  • Provides care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with state nurse practice act and hospital policies
  • Uses critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to support safe patient care
  • Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
  • Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
  • Provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
