Description

CT Tech

Overview

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Location: Columbia, South Carolina
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Schedule: Friday through Monday; shifts may be scheduled in any combination of those days
  • Weekend requirement: Yes
  • On-call: No
  • Floating: No
  • First-time travelers: Accepted
  • Local candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis if within 60 miles

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
  • CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ARRT (CT)
  • SCRQSA (CT)

Additional Requirements

  • Must provide a radiation badge through the agency
  • All requested time off must be included at submission
  • Must complete all required pre-start documentation and onboarding items before orientation
  • Must complete facility modules before start
  • Must submit a photo for badge use
  • Must complete a physical exam statement within 90 days of start
  • Must complete a 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Must complete a TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Must complete annual background screening and work history verification
  • Must provide 2 clinical references, including at least one from the same unit

Work Environment

  • Acute care hospital
  • May include additional duties supporting ED/UC operations
  • Charting system: Epic
  • Scrub color: Black and Teal
  • Parking is free with a pass

Notes

  • Hurricane season may require assignment to emergency response teams
  • COVID vaccination is not required, but documentation or declination is needed if applicable

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
