Step Down Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Dayton, Ohio
- Night shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 48
- Target patient ratio: 1:4, with assignments up to 1:5–1:6
- Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Minimum of every other holiday coverage is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with stable chronic ventilators
- Ability to pass online EKG tele competency assessment
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- IV start experience
- Level 1 or Level 2 experience
- Travel experience
Work Expectations
- First to float at the facility’s discretion
- May float to other campuses or specialty clusters as needed
- Subject to cancellation of 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract
- Assignment may be ended with 2 weeks’ notice without fee or fine
Notes
- RTO must be requested with the initial submission; no RTO will be added after offer
- RTO approval is at manager discretion
