Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract position in Bloomington, Indiana
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Floating may be required to nearby sister facilities, though rarely
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule

• 4x12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed hours vary by schedule:

  • 8- and 10-hour shifts: 40 hours per workweek
  • 3x12-hour shifts: 36 hours per workweek
  • 4x12-hour shifts: 48 hours per workweek

• Minimum of 2 references from recent employment
• Employment history must be current, with any gap of 30 days or more explained
• Application must cover the past 7 years, with all gaps accounted for
• Skills checklist required within 12 months of start and annually
• Background check required

• Physical exam required
• TB screening and TB questionnaire required
• Fit testing required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required
