Key role details
- LDRP OB nurse role in a small critical access hospital
- Responsibilities include triage, labor, recovery, postpartum care, and newborn care
- Floating between units is required
- Weekends are required and are equally split among staff
- On-call is not required
- Block scheduling is not required
- 48 hours are approved
- Expected patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:6
- Must work at least one winter holiday
- Scrub color: any color; OR provided
- Parking is free
Required qualifications
- Current RN license
- Seasoned travelers only
- NURSYS verification required
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- EFM certification
- TNCC certification
- Chemo certification
- IV certification
- NIH Stroke certification
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Competency exam
- Color blind testing, if required for the unit
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application with at least the last 5 years of employment history
- Work history verification may be required if used in place of reference requirements
Health and onboarding requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask clearance
- Tdap within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, flu, COVID, drug screening, and respirator clearance documentation as required for travel candidates
