Labor and Delivery Nurse

Job Overview

  • Location: Tyler, Texas
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Requirements

  • Epic charting experience
  • Drivers License or State ID
  • E-Verify
  • Education verification
  • 7-year background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Fingerprinting
  • Photo for badge
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit test within 1 year of start
  • Tdap within 10 years of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • TB questionnaire if prior TB result is positive
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
  • Employment application or resume

  • 7-year work history verification

Location Restriction

  • Travelers residing in the following Texas counties are not contracted: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris.

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
