PACU RN Travel/Contract Job

Schedule
- Night shift
- 3x12 hours
- Rotating start time as needed
- Monday-Friday
- 24 hours of call per 6-week period
- Night shift nurses may need to pre-op patients from 05:30-07:30 when PACU is empty
Assignment Details
- 1:2 patient ratio
- Float within the service line as needed
- Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- At least 1 year of critical care experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- Experience at a Level I Trauma Center
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- EKG interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with Epic
Work Environment
- Level I trauma PACU
- Short-term acute care hospital
- Teaching hospital
- Surgical recovery includes GU, GYN, colorectal, minimally invasive procedures, bariatric, and some ENT cases
- Separate IR pre/post area
- Nurses manage complex postoperative patients, including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia
Additional Notes
- Locals are not accepted
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
- RTO limit: no more than 7 days

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful.
