Job Overview

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Location: Denmark, South Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Friday–Sunday, 3x12 hours
Hours per week: 36
Schedule details: Friday at the main campus in Orangeburg; Saturday and Sunday at BBMP
On-call: Required, with rotation among staff at BBMP only
First-timers: Accepted
Local candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis if within 60 miles

Role Summary

Performs CT scans and radiographic exams
Produces diagnostic radiographs and computerized tomographic scans
Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
CT Technologist experience within the last year
ARRT (R) (CT) or SCRQSA (R) (CT)
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Completed an AMA-approved school of radiological technology
One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and Computed Tomography
Radiation badge required

Annual background check
Education verification required
Annual physical exam
10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
TB testing or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
COVID vaccination documentation preferred; declination accepted if not vaccinated
Respirator clearance required for patient-facing travelers
Color blind testing before start
Competency exam required
Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
South Carolina state exclusion list required
Work history verification for the last 3 clinical employers

Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
