PACU RN

Overview

Travel/contract RN position in Saint Paul, Minnesota
PACU / Pre-Op / Phase 2 role
Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
317 staffed beds

Schedule

Day shift
3x12-hour shifts
Start times: 8:00, 9:30, or 11:00
Weekend coverage as needed per unit needs
On-call not required
Block scheduling not available

Work Setting

Float required within scope between the main hospital and the Day Surgery Center
Patient ratio: 1:1

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Minnesota
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience with Epic

Additional Requirements

First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates are not accepted within a 100-mile radius

Assignment Details

Contract length: 12 weeks
Guaranteed hours subject to client cancellation policy

Notes

Scrubs are provided by the unit
Parking is available for a fee after the first day; night shift parking is free in the ramp

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
