Critical Care Float RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Madison, Wisconsin
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend and some holidays required
Unit / Patient Population
- Multiple ICU units, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, and Trauma Surgery
- Also supports IMC, Progressive, and general care populations
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- 2 years of Critical Care Float experience
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Neuro ICU experience
- CTICU (Cardiothoracic Intensive Care) experience
- Burn ICU experience
- Trauma ICU experience
- Intermediate Care experience
Schedule
- Evening/night schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Compliance / Onboarding
- Background check required
- Wisconsin caregiver screening required within 90 days of start
- Wisconsin BID form required
- E-Verify required
- Employment application required
- 2 clinical references within the last 3 years
- Skills checklist required annually
- Telemetry exam acknowledgment required
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required
- State license verification required
- NURSYS verification required
- Physical exam required by Aya standard
- Drug screen required by Aya standard
- TB questionnaire required annually
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray required
- MMR, varicella, hepatitis B, and flu documentation or approved exemptions required
- Fit mask completed onsite
- Photo for badge required
- Communicable disease form required within 90 days of start
