Assignment Details
- Travel/contract role
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 18 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Required to work all scheduled shifts
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Floating: may float within scope to meet facility needs
- Block scheduling not accommodated
- Local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Float (2 years of experience)
- Float experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Orthopedics experience
- Stroke experience
- Cardiology experience
- Experience with Epic
Unit / Work Setting
- RN float pool covering acute care and telemetry units
- Experience with ortho, neuro-stroke, and cardiac telemetry preferred by the facility description
- Ratios: 1:4–5
- Split shifts may occur between two areas, so strong time management is important
Screening / Onboarding
- Background check required
- References required
- Fit test required within 12 months of start
- Tdap required within 10 years of start
- TB screening required
- COVID tracking documentation required
- Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation required
- Drug screen required for Aya candidates
Orientation / Testing
- Orientation includes pass/fail testing
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for this role
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required
- Color blind testing required
- Competency exam required
Additional Notes
- Holiday coverage: travelers can have 1 of 3 major holidays off and must work 2 holidays
- No Christmas RTO
- On-site parking is available for a fee
