Oncology RN

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract RN position in Charlottesville, Virginia
  • Night shift
  • 13-week assignment
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays
  • Up to 40 hours of time off can be approved

Unit Details

  • Adult inpatient oncology unit with hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant care
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
  • Must follow the facility float policy

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • Oncology experience with at least 1 year of experience
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS certification

Additional Notes

  • ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification may be pending at submission if it can be completed before start
  • Depending on experience, the manager may also require completion of the fundamentals course before start

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
