- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48
- Assignment length: 13 weeks

- Weekend coverage required every other weekend

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Stepdown (2 years of experience)
- Stepdown experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Driver's License
- Bipap experience
- Cardiac gtt experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Experience / Skills
- Stepdown or ICU experience
- Post-op care
- Bipap
- Cardiac gtt
- Time management
- Critical thinking
Work Setting
- Surgical Stepdown unit
- Nurses may float to any department with equal or lower acuity
- Patient population includes post-op, trauma, and high-acuity medical patients
Additional Requirements
- Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for travelers from November 1 to April 1; declinations are not accepted
- RTO of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end
- Only 1 holiday RTO request per assignment
- Block scheduling may be approved based on facility requirements
- Black scrubs required
- Must comply with facility dress code
Physical Demands
- Standing and walking most of the time
- Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
- May need to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- May need to pinch up to 15 lbs
- Minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- High exposure risk to blood and body fluids
