• Travel RN position
• Specialty: Surgical Stepdown
• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48
• Assignment length: 13 weeks
• Number of openings: 1
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• No call required
• Auto-offer position

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Stepdown (2 years of experience)
• Stepdown experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Driver's License
• Bipap experience
• Cardiac gtt experience
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Experience / Skills

• Stepdown or ICU experience
• Post-op care
• Bipap
• Cardiac gtt
• Time management
• Critical thinking

Work Setting

• Surgical Stepdown unit
• Nurses may float to any department with equal or lower acuity
• Patient population includes post-op, trauma, and high-acuity medical patients

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for travelers from November 1 to April 1; declinations are not accepted
• RTO of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end
• Only 1 holiday RTO request per assignment
• Block scheduling may be approved based on facility requirements
• Black scrubs required
• Must comply with facility dress code

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking most of the time
• Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
• May need to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
• May need to pinch up to 15 lbs
• Minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• High exposure risk to blood and body fluids
