Medical Surgical RN
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Saint Louis, Missouri
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start date: 3–4 weeks out per compliance tier
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- First-time travelers accepted
- Pending license accepted
- Local candidates not accepted; 75-mile radius rule applies
- Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
- No on-call requirement
- No block scheduling
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Floating: within the service line as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Phlebotomy
- Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
- Experience with Epic
Skills and Experience

- Experience with bariatrics, trachs, endo oncology, MIS, plastics, orthopedics, and ophthalmology
- Ability to assist with mobility and CHG baths
Unit Details
- Post-op medical-surgical patient population
- EKGs may be performed/read by RNs when needed
- Sit/stand lift, Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and EKG machine available on the unit
