Registered Nurse — Long-Term Care

Overview

• Travel/contract role
• Night shift
• 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• Every other weekend required
• 40 hours per week
• Start dates are every 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Cannot change shift once offered
• RTO must be approved at submission only; no RTO changes after offer
• Cannot take every holiday off

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Long Term Care (1 year of experience)
• Long Term Care experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or ASHI or National CPR Foundation
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in Supervisor roles

Work Setting

• Long-term care / skilled nursing environment
• Alzheimer’s and dementia patient population
• Supervision of CNAs on assigned units
• Ratios: 1:18–20

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Perform medication passes accurately and safely
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition
• Complete timely and accurate documentation
• Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies

• Must be dependable, flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Scrubs: any solid color with closed-toe shoes
