Job Overview

• Location: Morristown, Tennessee
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Float requirement: Must be open to floating to MS/Tele, ER Holding, and possibly PCU/Stepdown depending on skills and need
• Weekend/holiday expectation: 6 weekend nights per 6-week schedule; holidays as needed
• Patient ratio: 1:7

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date
• Must complete a medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Must complete a competency exam
• Must complete dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 12 months of start and score 80% or higher
• Must complete color blind testing within 12 months prior to start date
• Must have 2 supervisory references completed within the last 3 years
• Must provide a 7-year work history with no gaps over 30 days without explanation
• Must provide a current state ID or driver’s license
• Must provide a unit-specific skills checklist completed within the last year
• Must provide a physical exam within 12 months of start
• Must provide negative TB testing or chest X-ray documentation
• Must provide TB questionnaire
• Must provide drug testing within 45 days of start
• Must provide flu vaccination documentation or approved exemption if applicable

Scheduling Notes

• Travelers requesting time off during any holiday or holiday week will not be accommodated
• Holiday time off may be addressed with the manager after arrival onsite using the RTO form

Additional Notes

• Auto offer with bi-weekly orientation
• Local candidates are considered within 75 miles of the facility
• Local pay is lower than traveler pay
