Medical Surgical RN Travel Contract

Location

Fishersville, Virginia

Assignment Details

Travel/contract role
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Every other weekend required
May need to float to cover staffing needs
Patient ratio: 1:6
Contract length: 26 weeks
First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Scheduling / Attendance

Holiday rotation required
Local candidates are not accepted within 50 miles

Unit Information

Medical/surgical unit with 32 beds
Focuses on new technologies and innovative nursing practice

Pre-Start Requirements

Government-issued photo ID
2 professional references
Current application/resume
Skills checklist for the specialty
Physical exam within 1 year of start
Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start, including marijuana
TB screening or chest X-ray documentation
Tdap within 10 years or declination
Influenza vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity/vaccination documentation
Background checks and required compliance documents before start

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
