Respiratory Therapist, NICU
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Akron, Ohio
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 12-week contract
- Floating may be required to other facilities
Required Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (2 years of experience)
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- Experience working with Adult or Pediatric patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Level 3 and Level 4 NICU experience preferred
Compliance / Onboarding Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- 7-year criminal background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Education verification or diploma/transcript
- Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprint results
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- State license verification
- Competency exam
- Core Part I, II, and III
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Unit-specific skills checklist
- Two positive professional references
- Employment application with 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting and in a similar area
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Tdap within 10 years of start
- TB screening or chest X-ray
- TB questionnaire
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity or documentation
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season
- Computer security agreement
- HIPAA/confidentiality statement
- HIPAA privacy training
- Non-employee personal information form within 72 hours of signed contract
- Staff badge form
- Fingerprint clearance attestation
- Skills checklist
- Annual updates required for several compliance items
