Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Taos, New Mexico
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- 1:6 patient ratio
- Critical access facility with 18 beds
- On-call required
- First-time travelers accepted
- 75+ radius rule applies
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Schedule / Work Setting
- Nights only
- Medical-surgical/telemetry unit
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify documentation or attestation
- 7-year criminal background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Core Part I, II, and III exams with passing score of at least 80%
- 2 clinical references
- Resume/application with 7-year work history and gaps included
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB screening or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Tdap within the past 10 years
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation
- Drug screen within 90 days of start
- Flu vaccination or facility declination during flu season
- COVID declination form if declining COVID vaccination
Additional Notes
- PALS may be completed onsite within the first week
- Scrubs may be any color
- Charting system: Evident
- Parking is free
