Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Taos, New Mexico
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• 1:6 patient ratio
• Critical access facility with 18 beds
• On-call required
• First-time travelers accepted
• 75+ radius rule applies

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule / Work Setting

• Nights only
• Medical-surgical/telemetry unit

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• E-Verify documentation or attestation
• 7-year criminal background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Core Part I, II, and III exams with passing score of at least 80%
• 2 clinical references
• Resume/application with 7-year work history and gaps included
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB screening or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Tdap within the past 10 years
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation
• Drug screen within 90 days of start
• Flu vaccination or facility declination during flu season
• COVID declination form if declining COVID vaccination

Additional Notes

• PALS may be completed onsite within the first week
• Scrubs may be any color
• Charting system: Evident
• Parking is free
