Job Overview

Required Qualifications
- New York State licensure
- Fingerprinting completed on the first day at orientation
- State criminal history form must be cleared before starting
- 5-year work history verification
- 2 references
- 5-year criminal background check
- NY sex offender registry search within 6 months prior to start
- Background check searches covering SSN trace, county searches, nationwide search, and education verification
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months prior to start
- 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start
- Current Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella documentation or titers
- Flu documentation or declination
- COVID-19 booster is preferred, not required
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
Work Setting
- Correctional facility
- Medium security facility with a maximum security center located within it

- Candidate should be prepared for a state-run review process that may take time before interview consideration
- Facility-specific dress and personal item restrictions apply
- Driver’s license is needed on the first day
